Privacy Policy

Field Guide TCG collects only what the game needs to run, to keep accounts, and to deliver a purchase. We do not sell personal data.

What we collect

• Username. Other players can see it.
• Email address. We use it to verify a sign-up and to reset a password, and to send news only if you turn that on in Account settings.
• Game data. Your binder, progress, trades, and settings.
• Purchase records. Stripe processes the payment. We keep the record needed to deliver the numbered edition and to enforce the buying limit. That record can include a card fingerprint from Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Basic usage metering. Enough to run and protect the game, such as a request rate and a simple visit count from the host. That count is not used to email you or to build a marketing profile.

Email

We never email existing players for marketing, sales, or promotions. Email is for sign-up verification and password reset, plus Field Guide TCG news only if you turn on “Get Field Guide TCG news by email” in Account settings. That is off unless you switch it on, every news email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Who else handles data

Stripe processes payments. Our host and our database provider store the account and the game so it can run. They may process that data only to provide the service. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep the account and the game data while the account is open. Purchase records are kept permanently. Completed trades appear in a public feed of usernames unless you hide yours in Account settings. Your username and in-game achievements may be shared on Field Guide’s social media unless you turn on “Keep my name off Field Guide social media” in Account settings. Passwords are stored as a salted hash, not as the password itself.

Age

You must be 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we delete the account data and close the account.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. To ask us to delete your account, email social@fieldguidetcg.com from the address on the account. We may keep a purchase record where the law or the card networks require it.
