Terms of Service

Field Guide TCG · fieldguidetcg.com · Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms are the rules for playing Field Guide TCG and for buying a digital collectible from it. By using the site, creating an account or paying for a collectible, you agree to them.

The game

Field Guide TCG is a free browser card game. You can collect, rip free packs, and trade without paying. Every card and every set can be earned free by playing. Paying is optional, and only for the supporter cards described below.

Pull rates, odds, prices and other game numbers may be adjusted at any time.

Everything is subject to change

Field Guide TCG is an evolving project. We may change, update, replace or remove any part of it at any time, with or without notice. That includes card art, card text, cards, sets, biomes, packs, rewards, features, layouts, the website and these terms.

Art you see today may be repainted, replaced or retired later. A card in your binder shows whatever version of its art is current.

What you own

Collecting, earning or buying a card gives you a limited, revocable license to access and use that card inside Field Guide TCG, including trading it in the game, under these terms. It does not give you ownership of the card’s art, of any particular version of that art, or of any copyright, trademark or other rights in Field Guide TCG. Those stay with Field Guide TCG.

Age

You must be 13 or older to play and to buy. Field Guide TCG is not for anyone under 13. If we learn an account is under 13, we close it and delete the account data we hold.

Your account

You need one account, with a username and an email address. You are responsible for keeping the password to yourself. We may freeze or close an account that cheats, abuses a trade, or breaks these terms.

Your name on our social media

By playing, you agree that Field Guide TCG may share your username and your in-game achievements publicly on Field Guide’s social media, for example when you unlock a set, complete a set, or pull an Extinct or Mythic card. You can opt out at any time in Account settings under Privacy with “Keep my name off Field Guide social media.” After that, posts about your achievements say “a player” instead of your username.

Supporter cards and creator cards

Supporter cards and creator cards are digital collectibles inside Field Guide TCG. A supporter card is a numbered collector’s copy of a specific card you can see before you pay. You buy one to support the developer and for its look. Supporter cards are not money, not a stored balance, and not something you can redeem for cash. They have no cash value. Owning one does not grant packs, Field Points, energy, perks or any other bonus.

A supporter card counts as that card in your binder. It counts toward completing a set and toward unlocking the next set, the same as a copy earned by playing. If you own both a supporter copy and a free copy of the same card, that card counts once. Every card can also be earned free by playing, so paying is never needed to complete or unlock a set.

Each one is sold in a limited numbered edition, at a fixed price we show before you pay. The price does not change with chance. Buying one is not a pack, not a draw, and not gambling. A supporter card cannot be ripped or pulled from a pack. It can be traded with another player inside the game, the same way other cards trade.

When the edition is sold out, or when sales for that card or that set are turned off, it is no longer for sale. A serial number is assigned only after payment is confirmed.

No cash value and no real-money trading

Field Points (FP), cards and accounts have no real-world cash value. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged or cashed out for money or anything else outside the game.

FP cannot be bought with money. You earn it only by playing.

Selling, buying or trading accounts, cards or FP for real money, or for anything outside the game, is not allowed on any site or app, including marketplaces, auction sites, social media and Discord. Trading inside Field Guide TCG, including on the Market for FP, is fine.

If we find an account involved in real-money trading, we may suspend or ban it and remove the cards, FP or other items involved, without a refund.

Supporter cards count toward set completion as described above, and give no Field Points, packs, energy or other bonus. They can be traded player to player inside the game, but they cannot be listed on the Market or sold for FP.

Paying

Payments are processed by Stripe. The charge appears on your card statement with the suffix FIELDGUIDETCG.COM (your bank may also show Stripe’s account prefix in front of that suffix). We do not ask you to send a card number to Field Guide TCG. Stripe handles the card.

Delivery and refunds

Delivery means the numbered collectible is added to your account. After that delivery, Field Guide TCG does not offer a refund.

Two exceptions are plain. If we take payment and do not deliver the collectible, we refund that charge. If a law that applies to you requires a refund or a cancellation, that law controls and we will follow it. A dispute you file with your card network follows that network’s rules.

Provided as is

Field Guide TCG and fieldguidetcg.com are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free service. We do not promise that the game will always be available, that any card, feature or art will stay the same, or that progress will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Field Guide TCG and the people who make it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress or lost profits, arising from your use of the game or from any change to it. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 10 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits; where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using Field Guide TCG after a change, that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the game.
